I contacted her in January of 2016 to begin developing a logo for my new Physical Therapy practice (http://chrysalis-pt.com). I gave her three specific concepts to merge: the human pelvis, a butterfly silhouette, and Scandinavian folk art. Over the course of a couple months the idea was refined from initial concept to the shape you can see now at my website. Throughout the process, Sarah was clear about her scheduling restrictions as a full-time student, which helped me as a client determine my own expectations. This past May I graduated from the University of Tampa with Magna Cum Laude honors, earning a B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. I have professional associations with the American Marketing Association as well as having established my own freelance graphic design and marketing company. Through this, I have had the opportunity to work with established companies and build my own client base. I have previously studied graphic design at the West Suffolk College, affiliated with the University of the Arts London. My formal schooling in fine art, marketing, and advertising combined with experience in various computer software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign, allows me to create visual concepts to communicate ideas to inform, enthuse, and captivate customers. This, paired with an entrepreneurial spirit, compelled me to begin freelancing as a graphic artist. I’ve used my skills to help bloggers, existing small businesses, and start-up hopefuls develop graphic content that appeals to their desired audiences, at an affordable price point. I wish to further pursue this as a career.
